Branson, Missouri –White River Connect, a subsidiary of White River Valley Electric Cooperative, announced today that it is now taking orders for customers living in the Riverdale service area. This includes rural parts south of Nixa and north of Highlandville in Christian County.
"We are excited to bring our high-speed fiber internet to the residents of Christian County — marking our first expansion of many into this region,” said White River Connect CEO Beau Jackson. “This is more than just faster internet; it's about unlocking opportunity, driving economic growth, and connecting rural communities to the digital future they deserve. We believe everyone, no matter where they live, should have access to reliable, world-class connectivity."
Construction began on White River Connect in June of 2023 to provide high-speed internet to rural areas of Christian, Douglas, Ozark, Stone, and Taney Counties. In March of 2024, White River Connect began serving its first customers. White River Connect is currently available in the Branson, Bear Creek, Sweden, Rockaway, Gretna, Goodhope, Compton Ridge, Taneyville, Protem, Theodosia, Wasola, Lake, Bluewater, and Stultz areas, with plans to open additional markets before the end of the year. When completed, the project will cover over 4,200 miles of fiber lines.
